For you have heard my vows, O God. You have given me an inheritance reserved for those who fear your name. Psalm 61:5
Recently, I was reading psalms and came across some scriptures about Vows. As I pondered, I seen there are two sacred Vows one takes in life. One sacred vow is when we give our heart to the Lord, and the other is when we give our heart in marriage.
Many Marriages today are a contract not a covenant. Marriages have become a new contract of conveniences of use with separate banks accounts and separate lives, it’s a friendship instead of a loving bond. This also happens with our vow in Christ we want conveniences instead of covenant. However, conveniences defiles the word “Sacred Vows”.
If your marriage covenant was defiled at the altar of Christ, built on a facade and not love and commitment. Then I would direct you to a covenant vow that is not a facade, a personal relationship in Christ.
Maybe your spouse does not want to renew the covenant vows to start again. But I do know one who is always their waiting at the altar wanting you and loving you like know one else will. A Lord who is lovingly jealous over you wanting to hear you renew your vows to him. His everlasting love will put a ring on your finger, build you a house, and He will be your dreaded champion.
But the LORD is with me like a dread champion Jeremiah 20:11
