Who's Got Your Back?

During Sunday service I was having a conversation, with a young women, about intercessory prayer, and how the Lord had really been laying individuals on my heart to pray for, and that she was one of them, she went on to tell me that someone had asked her recently the question “Who’s got your back?”
The conversation ended, because church service started, so I did not think much more on the question until on the way home “Who’s got your back”? I knew the question posed to her was about having your back covered by those interceding for you in prayer. However, for me the question of “Who’s got your back “meant much more.
The question is an easy answer, we do not have to be concerned about whether someone is praying for us, because someone is, and his name is Jesus.
Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us. Romans 8:34 American Standard Bible
When I first came to Christ I use to ask myself the question “Who prayed for me?” because when I first was saved I would hear testimony of those who had loved ones praying for them, and that is how they became a believer. The question I asked “Who prayed for me”? Was not too different from the question “Who’s got your back”?
I know without a doubt that Jesus was interceding for me, and He is interceding for you right now, and that is what counts, and not only does Christ Jesus intercede for you, and I, He also is your rear guard, He has your back as well, so the question “who’s got your back” is covered, by the same one who created your back.
Then your light will break out like the dawn, And your recovery will speedily spring forth; And your righteousness will go before you; The glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. Isaiah 58:8 New American Standard Bible
