This is been a hot month in Michigan, and I am not complaining I like seeing my garden flourish. Even though, it is a hot July summer, did you know that there is a Christmas in July?

There are actually Individuals who dress up as Santa and celebrate Christmas in July, about three years ago was the first time I had heard of this.  I was reading about it on the internet, and thought it was really neat.  I even emailed a friend of mine to talk with her about it, and she said she read about it too, and that it spoke prophetically to her, and I agreed.

I am a firm believer that the Lord speaks through all his creation.

Then about three years later  I had a Christmas in July encounter; my sister in law came up for a visit in July, and asked if she could take me shopping to get my girls some school clothes. (Now, to understand all this I need to tell you, I was a home school Mom for four years, and I knew that the Lord was leading me to put my children back in a public school, believe me I needed a little more confirmation even though I knew this season of my life was coming to a close)

I took my sister in law up on her offer to bless my children, and we went.  It was a fun time for us together, because it had been some years sense we seen each other. When we returned from shopping and pulled into the driveway, my daughter asked “Mom did you know it is Christmas in July? She went on to say that the programs she was watching on TV were all Christmas shows and they’re saying it was Christmas in July.  I looked at the date on the calendar, and there is was Christmas in July it was the twenty- fifth of July.

The word of God says every perfect gift comes from heaven above.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17

The Lord gave me that extra confirmation I needed that day, and the girls did really well there first year back in school. Maybe this summer will be your Christmas in July; I’m certainly on the lookout not for Santa, but for the Lord’s gifts and promises.
