I have been hearing this pass two years about the Great Awakening that is going to take place, and I have heard many say it is starting. When I read about what they say they talk about souls being reached for the kingdom, and obviously that is the mission and heartbeat of Christ, however let me urgently state  don’t box The Great Awakening the Lord is doing into one category.

Those who are talking about this Great Awakening should know that this entails more than any of us could imagine. I had watched a movie back in 1991 called “Awakenings” it stars Robin Williams and Robert De Niro. 

In a nut shell, the movie depicted mental patients suffering from Encephalitis lethargic, Also known as "sleepy sickness” These patients were treated with a medication and were awakened after decades of catatonic state and they have to deal with a new life in a new time.

The Lord brought this movie back to me, and I had to research it because I only could recall bits and pieces of it. I felt deeply pressed to write and say this “Great Awakening” that is beginning, is going to awaken people from catatonic states in many ways and levels, and unlike the movie where the drug fails, and they fall back into the sleepy sickness, this great awakening will continually flow.

Bondages will be broken off of marriages; the Lord will shine his light upon situations to make visible to them the grey areas that need to be dealt with to bring wholeness. These issues are issues that have ate way at the marriage for years, and when they awaken from the catatonic issue they will be set free. I have witnessed this already happening.

Bondages will break off of peoples Finances, and Health, in differing degrees.  Like I said it will be in many ways and levels, along with signs and wonders.

 for the light is making everything visible. That is why it says, "Wake up, O sleeper! Arise from the dead, and the Messiah will shine on you.'' Ephesians 5:14

The Churches are going to get a face lift as it awakens from the “sleepy state”.  The Ahab pulpits will crumble, as the saints awaken from years of strongholds that have kept believers tied to churches that are not equipping and building the saints. There is coming what I call the New Frontier movement, it might be a small multitude, but their open visibility will frontier the new way to bring a catalytic outcome.

And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. Romans 13:11

Be open to the Lord don’t box this Great Awakening in, lets pray that many, many, many will come to Christ, and experience the bondages broken for they can live with new life.
