That One Step

A person's steps are directed by the LORD, and the LORD delights in his way. Psalms 37:23
There are times when we find ourselves having to take that one step, and all we have is a small hunch that this is leading to something greater than ourselves.
I recall the day God told me to “get moving”, it was an uncertain step, and everything in me did not want to go this way, but 21 months later I see why I had to take “that one step” I was entering into a season where I had to enter the enemy’s camp, and take back.
The Lord is saying many in this past season have had to take a really big step, up what felt like a steep mountain, but “NOW” says the Lord, this is the time for supernatural provision you have taken the step, you have passed the test, you have finished the race, and your victory is at hand “this is it”.
The bible gives account of four lepers who took a step.
Bible 2 Kings 7
Now there were four men with leprosy at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other, “Why stay here until we die? If we say, ‘We’ll go into the city’—the famine is there, and we will die. And if we stay here, we will die. So let’s go over to the camp of the Arameans and surrender. If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we die.”
At dusk they got up and went to the camp of the Arameans. When they reached the edge of the camp, not a man was there, for the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots and horses and a great army, so that they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to attack us!” So they got up and fled in the dusk and abandoned their tents and their horses and donkeys. They left the camp as it was and ran for their lives.
The men who had leprosy reached the edge of the camp and entered one of the tents. They ate and drank, and carried away silver, gold and clothes, and went off and hid them. They returned and entered another tent and took some things from it and hid them also.
Then they said to each other, “We’re not doing right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves. If we wait until daylight, punishment will overtake us. Let’s go at once and report this to the royal palace.”
The supernatural and natural collided, and four lepers became an army overnight, by taking a step.
The hardest part is “that one step”, but as we read in the story of the Lepers, it was their greatest reward.
Maybe that pink slip you received is going to be “that one step” you need for supernatural provision. Maybe it’s the family member that did you wrong, and you had to stand and take “that one step.” Whatever step you are facing the Lord has your supernatural provision.
Those four lepers sat at the entrance of a gate, rejected by people, rejected by family, you could say they were at the bottom of the barrel in society, but the Lord Almighty does not see us through the eyes of man.
The lepers in scripture took that one step, maybe there is a step you know you are to take, lean on the Lord he will direct that step, and He will see you through to victory. The Lord will multiple your steps to get you were you need to be.
Unbeknownst to you that prolonged battle you faced by taking that one step is now becoming your greatest reward. “It’s your time” “It’s your supernatural time of provision.”
In closing, when your supernatural provision comes through, be like the four lepers don't forget those around you.
Blessings,
