Stay on the Path

Stay on the Path
This week in Northern Michigan we had some unusual spring like weather, so my husband and I took are children to the Park for a walk. My youngest daughter had her winter coat and snow pants on riding her bike, only in Michigan. LOL! (Laughing out Loud).
In the park there is a path you can walk that is black topped, and my daughter was riding her bike, but she kept riding off the path and into the big puddles of water, my husband corrected her and told her to stay on the path, because underneath the puddles were sheets of ice . We started walking again, and there she went again off the path, and again my husband corrected her to stay on the path. I looked up at my husband and said this is what the Lord is saying, stay on the path; stay on the path I have set before you. I know from experience sometimes the path feels monotonous you feel like someone gave you the wrong directions, and getting off the beaten path looks like a more pleasurable walk.
However, in contrast to the water puddles that had a layer of ice underneath, perhaps there could be something underneath it all that the Lord is protecting you from. If the Lord promised you a new path let me assure you, you will get one; the journey is only a step away. In Addition, let me quicken you to wait and allow the Lord to give you direction, for when you put your trust in the Lord, not even the birds of the air knows the path that the Lord has set in hiding for you.
No bird of prey knows that hidden path,
no falcon’s eye has seen it. Job 28:7
Blessings,
Claudette
P.S.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
