Remove The Weight

I was having a conversation with my husband recently, and I asked my husband, why is it that sometimes the Lord closes the door gradually instead of swiftly? There is a situation I am in, and I can see that the Lord can close these doors in a day, but he has not chosen to do it this way.
My husband?s response was, look at a hot air balloon you remove the weights, or ropes gradually before the balloon swiftly lifts. (I researched, on hot air balloons, and they have what is called tethered rides, where the hot air balloon is tied down by three big ropes, so groups of people can go up 50 to 80 feet in the air while it is anchored to the ground, without it lifting away from the site).
I would say that the lesson in hot air balloons was my answer. When the Lord is gradually removing the weight, or slowly closing doors, it?s for a swifter lift off.
There is a story in scripture where we can read about a gradual removal of weight, the Israelites knew change was coming, the Lord spoke.
Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers?the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?appeared to me and said: I have watched over you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt. And I have promised to bring you up out of your misery in Egypt into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites?a land flowing with milk and honey.' Exodus 3:16-17
The Lord gradually removed the weight, and swiftly guided his people out of Egypt in one day.
All the Israelites did just what the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron. And on that very day the LORD brought the Israelites out of Egypt by their divisions. Exodus 12:50
Perhaps, you are also in a season of closure too, and it?s been gradual, look down you?re in the basket, look up the hot air balloon is ready, and the pilot has removed the weight. ?Lift off?!
Blessings,
