The Rock

One evening, not too long ago I was listening to a sermon on the internet, and as I listened to the words of the preacher, I began to drift off, because something struck me about Jacob, and the rock in which he laid his head upon. Jacob, that evening had to be quite tired to find comfort in laying his head upon a rock, but as I read the scriptures what came to me was this ?It matters where you lay your head.?
Everyday are minds are bombarded by images and words of conflict, just turn the News on, and it does not encourage you, or give you much hope, when you hear the words ?Broken Government,? or when you see about every Nation in turmoil, it looks like sinking sand with no place to solidly lay your head.
However, I write to say there is another Government one that is not broken, a Kingdom that you can solidly lay your head upon, He (Jesus) is the Rock of the world, and one day every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. (Romans 14:11)
Jacob laid his head upon a firm foundation, and saw the angels ascending and descending, helping to advance the Kingdom, as they still are today.
And he came to a certain place and stayed there overnight, because the sun was set. Taking one of the stones of the place, he put it under his head and lay down there to sleep.
And he dreamed that there was a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it! Genesis 28: 11-12 Amplified Bible
Where you lay your head matters, lay your head upon the solid rock of salvation.
"The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He. Deuteronomy 32:4 NASB
