The other day my daughter was working on a phonics paper, and in this one paper there was a science thinking section and a writing skills context section. The point conveyed in this teaching was about the four most important things a seedling needs in order to grow into a plant.

When I looked over this assignment, I drew a correlation between the seedlings needs and the four most important things the Church needs to grow into becoming a Pure Bride of Christ.

For the seed to grow into a plant it took water: The Church is no different, for the Church to become a Pure Bride of Christ it takes water.

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. Ezekiel 36-25

We need the water of the Word to cleanse us from our impurities (sins).

But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." John 4:14 New International Version

If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. John 7 38-39 New International Version

The second thing the seedling needs is dirt: The Church is not any different, in order to be firmly planted as a Bride, you must till the soil of your heart.

But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop. Luke 8:15 New International Version

Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. Mark 4:5 New International Version

We must reverence a deeper relationship with Christ in order to become His bride.

The third thing a seedling needs is Fertilizer to help it grow: The Church is also in need of Fertilizer, it needs the proper nutrients to support life, and this life comes from the Holy Spirit - The power from on High.

I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." Luke 24:49 New International Version

But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. Romans 8 New International Version

The fourth important thing a seedling needs to grow is the sun, and this is also an important element for the churches, but of course “Son” is spelled differently.
The Son of God is the reason we live and have our being, He is our source.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 New International Version

Church, we are in need of a transplant, we have been dried up for far too long.
In order for us to become the pure Bride of Christ, we need these four elements scripturaly rooted in us.

Stand up Church! Become what you were planted to become
- His pure Bride.
