Draw Near
By Claudette on Nov 16, 2008 | In Claudette - Reaching Out
Have you ever developed a deep sudden thirst for something cold to drink while working outside in the heat?
Well, there is another thirst that our body indicates to us, and this thirst comes from the heart. Most do not understand this thirst, because it leaves a void in the soul that most people will try to fill with needless things, never feeling full, and lacking joy and peace.
You might ask, “What is this thirst?” It is a thirst for your creator, the Lord, and it can only be quenched by spending time with Him and seeking Him with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29 : 13 AMP:
Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
This is an invitation to the tired and thirsty!
Are you thirsty?
Your creator, Jesus is near to you now, seek Him and know HE is the Lord.
Isaiah 55 : 6 NIV:
Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near.
No one is promised tomorrow. We plan our days going forward, yet only God holds tomorrow, call to HIM, while He still may be found, for time is short and His return is near.
Pray this prayer:
Jesus, come into my heart and forgive me of my sins, wash and cleanse me, help me through this life.
Lord, draw near to me, be Lord of my Life.
In Jesus' mighty name I pray - Amen.
Psalm 145 : 18 NASB:
The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.
Blessings,
