Matthew 23:37-39:
37" O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. 38 Look, your house is left to you desolate. 39 For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'”
In recent weeks I have been reminded that God is gathering His remnants for the Last Days' Global Church. The great Church Awakening has begun!
You might be wondering - what remnants? And my answer is...when I speak of remnants, I am speaking about the people who love Jesus with all their hearts and have died to their worldly desires, and have been resurrected by the Lord unto His Will and His Heart's desires for these Last Days. Many have been brought through the Fire of God and have had their impurities burned out, they have been purified for Christ and no longer love their own life (their own soul), but desire God's Will to be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
The Lampstand of God (Golden Lampstands can be found in the Bible, in the first part of Revelation) is now being placed inside churches around the world. The Lord is peering out from its flames into the heart, mind, body, and soul of His followers and looking for total commitment, love, and desire for Him. From these people, God will build His Last Days' Global Church – His Army of Salvation. This remnant of people will carry God's Fire throughout their localities and the world. It will increase upon increase as the Last Days' Harvest of souls takes place.
Some might be thinking, what is the reason for all this? And the answer is...The Church today is stagnant, complacent, asleep in Christ, and in some cases even dead. It is hard to find many churches alive in Christ, most are operated by religious spirits and do not give way, or even seek the Holy Spirit. Some are even calling Christianity old school and a dead ideology. So, if this is the case, then how are we to reach a lost and dying world very much in need of Jesus?
I am going to borrow a saying from the late Maria Woodworth Etter (a Revivalist who believed in Church Reform), when she said “The Church is better at creating skeptics, than believers!” Oh, how true this statement made many years ago is still true to this day.
1 Peter 4:17-18:
17 For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And,
"If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?"
In fact, if you have read anything about Maria Woodworth Etter's Revival meetings you will find that the only people who did not want to get involved, besides some of the secular world, was churches, their leaders, and the church members of that era. Try to figure out that response! While the Holy Spirit is moving to reach the lost and dying of the world, most of the churches didn't even want to get involved, despite the healing and Heavenly manifestations taking place. Well, I guess it is safe to say some things don't change much!
If the churches cannot help, support and handle the lost of the world, when they arrive at their doors, the End time Revival will not create believers and keep them, and they will not be able to provide a way for them to keep growing in Christ, while awaiting the Rapture of the Church.
God never intended for the churches to be in the state they are in today, making believers and then sending them back into the world lost again, worse off than when they came. He never intended the churches to be operating by their own Will. God intended the churches to operate by His Will and with the Holy Spirit controlling the show. The Church today should be following the example written about in the Book of Acts of the Bible.
This Church Awakening is just the first part of God's greater plan, and may all praise and thanks be to Jesus! For He is choosing not to pass us by, but to save us and deliver us.
Are you willing to let the Holy Spirit move? Will you let Jesus have full control of your life? I pray so...
Blessings,
Christopher Moss
